IMPORTANT INFORMATION :: Home Depot Breach Alert
Home Depot recently released a statement confirming that a payment card breach occurred at its U.S. and Canadian stores. The retailer said there is no evidence at this time that the debit card PINs were compromised. However, Home Depot stated that it will be offering "free identity theft protection services, including credit monitoring to any customer who used a payment card at a Home Depot store in 2014, from April on."
Tampa Postal FCU will monitor activity reports and will reissue any debit card or MasterCard credit card we find to have been affected by this breach. Please continue to log into your accounts online and monitor your balances. Look for any suspicious activity online and on both your Credit Union and MasterCard statements. If you notice anything out of the ordinary or any purchases you did not make, please contact Tampa Postal FCU at 813.264.4969 or 800.782.4899.
You are also entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each credit reporting agency. Just visit www.AnnualCreditReport.com to obtain your free report. Again, please review your report for any accounts or loans that you did not open and other suspicious activity.
