Hurricane Helene & Milton Assistance

We understand the challenges that can arise following storms like Hurricane Helene and Milton. Please know that we are here to help you financially recover from any setbacks you are experiencing.

Hardship Skip-a-Pay:

To provide immediate financial relief for members, we’re offering current borrowers the opportunity to skip an upcoming loan payment.

If you have a loan with the credit union, please call 813.264.4969 to learn more about Hardship Skip-a-Pays and determine if your loan qualifies.

*This program cannot be used in conjunction with other Skip-a-Pay offers. Certain loan exclusions apply, such as 1st Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, RV Loans and Postal Premier Option (PPO) Loans.

 

 

Fee Reimbursement:

Immediately following Hurricane Milton, our systems went down temporarily. If you incurred a fee from the credit union as a result of the system outage, including digital banking and our ATM/Debit Card network, please contact us at 813.264.4969.

 

 

ATM Fees Waived:

In preparation for Hurricane Milton and its aftermath, Tampa Postal FCU waived all ATM fees charged by the credit union. This period includes: 10/7/2024 – 10/14/2024.

There is no action required on the part of members. You should not have incurred any ATM fees from the credit union during this time. If you did receive an ATM fee from Tampa Postal FCU, please contact us at 813.264.4969.

 

 

Short-Term Hardship Loans:

If you are in need of short-term funding as you recover from the storm or wait for insurance assistance, the credit union is offering Short-Term Hardship Loans.

These loans function as a personal loan for the member and interest rates are typically much lower than traditional credit cards. Members are required to apply, and loans are subject to approval. Please select “Signature Loan” on the loan application page within Online or Mobile Banking.

 

 

Questions or Concerns?

We understand that many members are experiencing financial difficulties resulting from Hurricanes Helene & Milton. If you believe you will be unable to make an upcoming loan payment or need other assistance, please contact our Recovery Department BEFORE your loan due date (this provides us with more options to help and can prevent potential damage to your credit score as a result of late or missed payments).
