Important steps have been implemented to ensure your account security

Security Updates:

At Tampa Postal FCU, your personal and account information remain our top priority. As a result of recent upticks in fraud cases and ongoing current events, extra steps have been implemented to keep you safe.

    • For example, if you contact the credit union to perform a transaction, you may be asked additional questions to verify your identity.

We strive to offer the highest level of security for our members. In addition to bank-level encryption, all accounts at the credit union are Federally Insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.

What You Can Do:

While scammers are always changing tactics, it’s important that you remain attentive and be proactive when it comes to avoiding fraud.

    • The credit union will NEVER call, text, email, or use social media to contact you requesting your personal or account information.

    • If you receive unsolicited emails or texts claiming to be from Tampa Postal FCU that inform you to click a link to “reset” or “reactivate” your account, please DELETE the message, and call us at 813.264.4969.

    • Never send personal or account information via email, text, or social media.

    • If you receive an unsolicited call claiming to be from the credit union, ask the caller’s name and reason for the call. Hang up and contact the credit union directly to ensure the call was from Tampa Postal FCU.

Being proactive against fraud is the best defense. You can also obtain a FREE copy of your credit report from the three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) at www.AnnualCreditReport.com.
